The afterschool academy at which I taught used a movement-based curriculum for the younger students. It was fascinating to be reminded in such a real-world environment of movement’s power to transcend the need for spoken language, both in formal lessons and day-to-day communication. In addition to planning movement for lessons and working daily in the classroom, I helped plan seasonal festivals, which involved choreography as well!

Senior Project + UWSP College of Letters and Sciences Research Symposium, 2017

Completed Root Cycle, a semester-long multimedia senior project involving choreography, spoken word poetry, and film, which I was then invited to present at the university’s annual research symposium.
